Bracha Zalowicz – Holocaust Survivor
Born: January 6th, 1927
She was predeceased by her father Moshe, mother Shprintza, sisters Regina and Nesia, and brother Rafael.
A devoted mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and teacher. She touched so many lives.

Shiva Details: Shiva visits daily from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Shiva concludes Monday morning January 15th.

I was so saddened to hear of Bracha's petira. She was a lovely sweet woman. I hand't seen her in years but we used to spend time together from Shaarei Shomayim and with a mutual friend at Shabbat seudas , the late Sara Markin of blessed memory. May you all be comforted with all the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem and know no more sorrow. Janice Lebow

Bracha was a devoted teacher, a respected colleague and a warm and kind person . She always had a smile for others, and she set a wonderful example for us all, with her dedication to her profession and her dignified demeanor. It was a privilege to have been on staff with her. I send my sincere condolences.

Michele Foster

Bracha was my Hebrew teacher at Bialik when I was younger. I had some difficulties learning Hebrew which made me feel down on myself and despise Hebrew time at Bialik...but I LOVED learning with Bracha. She was compassionate and patient in a way that no other teacher ever was. I couldn't tell you the names of most of my Hebrew teachers but I have never forgotten Bracha. She didn't just teach us about Hebrew, she taught us about kindness, respect, friendship, and hard work. I'm so grateful to have been her student and will always remember her. My sincerest condolences to all those touched by her passing.
