Lazar, Dr. Leo

Unparalleled husband, father, grandfather, friend and mentor. Leo Lazar died on Sunday, June 17th, 2018 after a long, happy, and productive life surrounded by his beloved wife Sheila, loving daughters Mara and Cynthia, admiring sons- in -law Thang and Marvin and devoted grandchildren, Max, Zoe, and Cleo. Leo escaped the Holocaust to become a brilliant psychologist and devoted family man. He was a deep thinker who could easily debate the most complex philosophical ideas using the ancient Greek terms for key concepts while also appreciating a fantastically corny joke. He was wise, just, kind, generous, compassionate, decent, modest, loving and immensely beloved in return. The world is now a lesser place. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care 416-586-4800.
