WOLYNETZ, Leo

Leo Wolynetz passed away peacefully on May 31st, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Born November 24th, 1926, Leo lived in Kitchener, Ontario, until his recent move to Toronto. His career spanned decades as owner of H. Wolynetz Ltd, Gown House of Kitchener. He served as the Treasurer of Beth Jacob Congregation of Kitchener-Waterloo and was an integral part of the Jewish community . He was involved with and supported many charitable organizations, including United Israel Appeal and B’nai Brith. Leo’s foremost passion was family; spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him his greatest joy. He will be missed, loved and remembered by all his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Sylvia Wolynetz; children, Rachelle Wolynetz Frankel and Larry & Lori Beth Wolynetz; grandchildren, Tamara & Zach, Noah, Talya, Yael & Baruch, Aliza, Elie & Cara, Noam & Lauren and Orly; great-grandchildren, Gidon and Hadar; sister Sarah Glatt; brother and sisters-in-law Harry & Sylvia Lieberman, Maxine Lieberman and a large extended family.

He was predeceased by his brothers-in-law Ernie Glatt and Max Lieberman.

The service will take place on June 2nd, 2017 at Beth Jacob Congregation, 161 Stirling Avenue South, Kitchener, Ontario N2J3N8
