Rawa, Mina, Holocaust survivor, after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, November 26, 2017. Beloved wife of the late David Rawa. Loving and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Dori and Ari Ekstein, and Leon and Michele Rawa. Cherished Bubby of Evan, Jessica, Ryan, Marcus, Brandon, and Courtney. She will be very sadly missed by all her family and friends. Funeral services will take place at Steeles Memorial Chapel, 350 Steeles Ave. West, Thornhill on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Interment: Pardes Chaim Cemetery, Community section. Shiva: 19 Langtry Place, Thornhill. Shiva visits Monday following the interment up to 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., evening services Monday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to The Sarah & Chaim Neuberger Holocaust Education Centre (416) 635-2883 ext. 5153.

I am very sad to hear of the passing of Mrs Rawa. My memories are spread over the many school years of being around the Rawa house visiting my Dori. Mrs Rawa was always friendly and welcoming. Over the years, when there was an opportunity to sit and chat with her I always enjoyed doing that. I will miss our conversations. My condolences to all the family and to my good friend Dori &Ari. Dearest Dori, Unfortunately I will not be able to pay my last respects to you dear mother at the chapel. However, I would like to express my deepest condolences to you and your whole family. Every time I saw her, from the time we were children right up until the last time I saw her, she was always ready with a smile and a kind word, always asked about how my family and I were doing, and was warm and sincere.
