Martin and Family: I was so saddened to hear of your mom's petira. She was a very sweet lady and I remember those times you would be with her at many functions or at Baycrest cafeteria, etc. and we'd always share conversations. After those times were not possible...I know Martin that you were a loving and devoted son and took very good care of your mom. I'm sure she was very proud of you. To the Rosenwald mishpacha: We were truly saddened to learn of the passing of your beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Mina A"H. In many ways she represented a generation of Jews who are rapidly disappearing. Together with her beloved husband Moshe Rosenwald A"H, both of whom displayed courage, faith and tenacity as they rebuilt their lives after the Shoah. Jewish tradition permeated the walls of her home. Until she was unable, she was was in shul every Sabbath gracing us with poise and dignity. Mrs. Rosenwald was the recipient of much love and respect from her family but her son Martin exemplified the kind of selfless devotion to his mother not often seen. Mrs. Rosenwald greeted me at kiddush every shabbat at Shaarei Tefillah, with a sweet smile and shining eyes. Eventually, she would bless me in Yiddish, which sadly I do not understand, but I certainly understood 'sheine maidele' and her enthusiasm. Her grace, and her sense of being at home in the shul, never wavered. Hamakom yinachem etchem b'toch she'ar avlei Zion v'Yerushalayim.
