Condolences to the family from me and my wife Elaine. Percy's mother "Yehdashke" was a sister to my father's father, Lazer Handelman. So Percy and my father Murray, were first cousins. Percy was my first cousin once removed. Percy's children are my second cousins. Percy and I were't close, but I have pleasant memories of him. I understand that he was a pharmacist by profession, but as a young man, when the economy tanked, Percy sold toys to survive. I admired his adaptability in the face of adversity. His wife Sonya was beautiful, and they were a handsome couple. In later years, I would bump into Percy in the mall, when he worked for the LCBO. We always stopped to chat. He was a gentle, kindly, soft-spoken man. I don't think he had a mean bone in his body. Although he seemed serious, Percy did have a sense of humour, and he enjoyed and chuckled at my attempts at levity. To put it simply: Percy was a rare man-- a truly nice guy.
