Holocaust Survivor – Born December 12, 1917 – Died August 8, 2017 at the age of 99+ years – immigrated to Canada in 1947- married to his late wife Sally for 46 years , and his late wife Vera for 10 years –a proud Canadian Citizen -built a thriving business – avid gardener , fisherman and love of family – beloved father and father-in-law of Susan and Ted Bassken and Charron and Lawrie Bloom – Grandfather to Laura & Jessica Bassken, Richard and Daina Bloom, Aaron and Susete Bloom and the late David Bloom – Great Grandfather to Kyla, Caitlyn, Ezra, Eden, Tali Bloom and Elle Bassken – Brother and Brother-in-law to Harry and Esther Fish and Sister Belle Seals and Uncle to many nieces and nephews –Special thanks to the staff at Viva Thornhill Woods for your care and support over the past 3 plus years and extra special thanks to Dr. Leslie Housefather and his support staff – his charismatic nature will be missed by all.
