To david,naomi i am so very sad to have just learned of your dads passing he was a wonderful and loving husdand to your mom and a great father and grandfather to your children ,and as well a wonderful friend and in a way father figure to me in my many hours of need he will be sorrly missed but never forgoten....nathan and debbie

To Naomi, David and the entire family please accept my deepest condolences. I wish to pass along the words from Moisha during my last visits at his home. Chris, he said I am a lucky man. I have had a good life, a wonderful wife, a fabulous daughter, a brilliant son and good grandchildren. I will leave them knowing all this and that I have left them with all I can offer. Moisha was a good friend and I will miss him but will remember the things only good friends could share with each other. Chris Nitsou friend for ever.

Sorry for your loss

I was saddened to hear of Mar Reiter's passing. We had recently reconnected when I saw a photo of him and his family on Facebook. Mar Reiter was my Hebrew School teacher back in the 1950's at the Talmud Torah shool/hebrew school at Bathurst and Neptune. We exchanged a few emails and it was so wonderful to be reminded of a wonderful and warm Jewish remembrance from so many years ago. My deepest condolences to all of his family and friends. Naomi and family, I am deeply sorry for your loss. I know your dad was more than just a loving supportive father, he was your mentor and he will be sadly missed. I know you made him very proud.

Moishe stood for me when no one else would. Moishe and David, just out of law school, fought corrupt police and crowns to save my life. They stood up through abuse and threats to do so. Moishe, David and Naomi all became friends. My wife and I will miss Moishe very badly.

I am saddened to learn of Mr. Reiter's passing. From the time Moishe taught me Hebrew more than 56 years ago at the Talmud Torah and over the years that I practiced law to the present day when Mr. Reiter represented me as counsel I have admired and respected him. He was a man of great integrity, devotion and honesty. He was learned in the law. He shall be missed. My condolences to Naomi and the rest of the family. Howard Rash

knew each other bur we plunged in and made ii to the finals where our opponents were very Very saddened to read of Moishe's passing. We had a short but intense and successful collaboration at University College. Someone, I do not recall who, or how serious they were, suggested that Moishe and I should partner for the 1953/4 annual UC Robinnette(sp?) impromptu debates. Neither of us had ever done anything like that before and we scarcely much 'Old Canadian' destined for External Affairs and the like. The topic was war, marriage or women or all three and we brought the house down with great one-liners and won! the first I believe, of Our Crowd to do so. We tried to repeat our success in the inter-university Hillel debates but, alas, the fire was gone and we were unsuccessful. I left the country and we didn't see each other again for many decades until we bumped into each other at the much missed |Marky's restaurant and he told my youngest son what a great debater I had been - it was a very generous comment and, I thought, typical of the man. Somewhere in his cupboards you may find the pewter beer mug we won at those long-ago debates. He will be much missed. My condolences to his familhy

Our sincere sympathy to Naomi, David and the family. Moishe has been a long-time friend who made certain that I never spent Passover alone. He shared the warmth of his family with those, like us who felt privileged to be included. Moishe had a big helping heart. So many clients and friends benefited from his generous spirit and willingness to always go out of his way to help another. You've always been there to bail me out of trouble years back. You taught me to be calm and collective and not act on emotion. You've showed me paths which I never thought I'd see without your guidance. You mentored me through out times where I really didn't know who I was and when no one was there you told me to keep my head up and show this life what you're made of. Yesterday I lost my mentor, a dear friend , one of the best lawyer in the world I can easily say. Naomi my heart goes out to you and your loved ones. Yesterday we lost a great man . You will never be forgotten my dear friend Moishe Reiter. RIP I will never forget how you always broke the news to me, you use to say " you want the good news first or the Bad" I never wanted to hear the good news because I was always in shit " lol Thank you for everything .

He enjoyed his work so much that he refused to retire! Perhaps he is now with Carol again. May the good times you shared help to sustain you at this time.

My deepest and heartfelt condolences to you Naomi and David. While many people met Moishe in places of law, I met him many time in camera stores, and instead of law, our talk was photography which he so loved. Moishe was a real MENCH and a wonderful human being. I was lucky to know him and carol and loved every minute of it שלא תדעו יותר צער

I had the pleasure of helping Moishe in recent years for most of his photography needs. We quickly became friends and spoke frankly and candidly with one another. I was always happy to hear from him as our conversations were filled with laughter and cheeky jests. Moishe was a stalwart and genuine person who I'm glad to have had the pleasure to know. I will miss him dearly. My thoughts go out to his friends and family.
