WINE, Lynn – Passed away peacefully after a courageous fight on Wednesday, November 16, 2016. Beloved step-mother of Melanie and Arie Elmaleh, and Jennifer and Jordan Milberg. Devoted Bubbie of Brandon, Maddie, Benjamin, Ely, and Eden. Best and dearest friend to Andrea Kazimierczak. Loving sister of Shale and Robbin Blane, and Aunt to Amy, and Josh. We thank her loving and dedicated caregivers Aileen, and Cola, nursing staff from CCAC, and the incredible staff at Princess Margaret Hospital. As well, we would like to thank Lynn’s friend and doctor, Michelle Litner, for all her care and support. Donations can be made to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation in Memory of Lynn Wine at 416 946-6560.

Shiva Details: Visitors are welcome Saturday evening after Shabbat. Sunday and Monday from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Shiva concludes Tuesday morning November 22nd.

To all who love Lynn. Michelle and I are deeply saddened by the loss of our cousin and dear friend, Lynn. Lynn has been a cornerstone of Michelle's life since the earliest family days, and friend of mine since the first time I met Michelle in Europe. She was always loyal, strong willed, but deeply caring of family and friends. No one was stronger defender and contributor to her family. She loved life, nature, good times and laughing large. She was fiercely independent and inspiringly self sufficient. Her first thoughts were always about the other person before herself. Dear Jennifer, Melanie and all the family, our sincerest condolences to you all. Lynn has been a friend and colleague for over 25 years and we miss her so much. She was brave, strong and independent and her spirit will live on in our hearts, always. She was passionate about her girls and the grandchildren whom she so enjoyed when they came to stay with her! We talked all the time, even though we were separated by many miles, I felt like I "knew" the family as she did mine. Dear Shale and Family, I am sorry for your loss. Please accept my sincere condolences. I heard about this news just today and I was quite saddened. I hadn't seen Lynn for many years--and only from time to time. She was always friendly and funny. I remember she had a good sense of humour and a quick wit. How I remember the Blane family during those days after high school. Lynn is quite unforgettable as are all the Blanes. I wanted to say that I am thinking of those days, and of you at this time.
