On Saturday, April 11, 2020, Arie Rones, loving father of Liora and Michael and grandfather of Daniel and Vanessa, passed away at the age of 99. Arie was born in Cernauti, Romania. He was an accomplished tool maker, succeeding professionally in both Israel and Canada. Arie was married to Marcela and was later partnered to Sima.

Arie was intelligent, inventive, and above all he was kind. His passion for art and culture combined with his love of learning made him a conversation artist that all could appreciate. This, with his mastery of seven languages, allowed him to make long-lasting friends throughout his life. He loved and was loved by his family deeply, serving as a mentor and close friend to all. Throughout hardship, he shared his kindness, smile, and beautiful blue eyes with the world.

Arie is preceded by his father, Moshe, his mother Dora, his brothers Tony and Bobi, his wife Marcela, and his partner Sima. He is survived by his daughter Liora, his son Michael, his daughter-in law Suri, his grandchildren Daniel and Vanessa, and several cousins, and nieces.
