Henry Krausman

Fern, Michael and Family. I would like to express my deepest Sympathy at the passing your dear Father. I have met Henry at 7 Townsgate after passing of our wives. We have became close friends. We have attended many Holocaust functions together. We went to Baycrest, Cafe Europa Holocaust Gathering once a month, Bernard Betel Center once a month for their Luncheon for Survivors, I cannot forget our once a week lunch at Kiva's either. Henry have moved to Viva Retirement Community 3 years ahead pf me. He became very active there with the Jidish Club. Our friendship was renewed again after I have moved in to Viva two years ago. May you not know any more sorrow.

Fern and family, I got to know your dad at Viva as he was friends with my father, Joe Lichtenstein. He was such a kind and gentle man with a wonderful smile. I always enjoyed talking to him at the dining table at Viva. It was also special spending the past few High Holidays at shul with your dad and you (Fern). May you all be comforted in the wonderful memories you have of your father.

Fern and family we are so sorry for your loss. Henry was part of our chevra and we will miss him We wish you and family long life. Love Joyce and Leon.

Dear Family of the late Henry, I was very sorry to hear about Henry. I knew him from Beit Rayim Synagogue. He always joined us for a Havdalah service Satuday nights, and Sunday morning services. Henry was gentleman, always cheerful and pleasent. He will be missed. May his soul be bound up in the bonds of eternal life. Cherish the fond memories of dear Henry.

I am a member of Beit Rayim, and I met Henry a few years ago when I started to attend Friday night Shabbat services at VIVA, and Saturday morning Shabbat services in the Beit Rayim sanctuary. In the last few months that he attended Saturday services, it was my privilege to give Henry a ride to and from VIVA on Saturday mornings. We had lovely chats in the car, and I found that he reminded me so much of my late father, Sam Schein - both Holocaust survivors, sweet and gentle, with a profound knowledge of Judaism. So it was a wonderful surprise to learn that they knew each other at Beth Emeth years ago! Henry even remembered that my father sang in the choir with his son Michael. Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss.

Henry was a true gentleman! I had the pleasure of meeting him over five years ago when he came to Viva and I showed him around and then when he proceeded to move in. Your Dad made friends easily with his warm smile and genuine interest in others. He was so proud of Micheal and Fern and his grandchildren- family was everything to him. I was lucky to get to know him not only on a business level but as a friend! Henry will be missed but his values and memories will always live on.

Hi, I’m Yael Solomon and I was one of the ShinShinim at Beit Rayim this year. I got to meet Henry at shul and loved him so so much! He was such a special man. Truly, the nicest, sweetest person. I loved seeing him at shul every Shabbat and he even reminded me of my own grandfather who passed away years ago. I’m so sorry for your loss and can not imagine the pain you are going through, my heart is with you all. I’m sure you know how amazing and loved he was, and that the time you had with him help, even if just for the tiniest bit. We used to call each other “best friends” at shul, and I wish I had more time to get to know him. Again, I’m so sorry for your loss, and wanted you to know how grateful I am to have met your father. To Henry's family. My name is Kohav, I was the Shinshinim at Beit Rayim Synagogue in 2018. I am so sorry for your loss. I wanted to tell you that Henry was the first one to make me feel home away from home. I arrived from Israel, really scared and I didn't know if I am going to be ok. The first Shabbat at shul, Henry approached me and showed me around, told me about the prayers and explained how things work which made my first experience much easier. Every Shabbat since then, I sat next to Henry and we prayed together. He always were so kind to me and introduced me as his Israeli granddaughter. when we had activities at the Viva center, he would always come down and be with us abd even showed us the center and his room. There, he showed us pictures of your beautiful family and told us how much he loves you. Without Henry, I would never had the strength and feeling of belonging during my Shinshinim year. He did everything with endless love and if there's something I will always take with me from him, beyond his inspiring story, it's his endless smile. I send you from Israel lots of strength, I thank god for the privilege I had of knowing Henry. Yours, Kohav.
