Loving mother and mother-in-law of Shirley and the late Terry Shapero, Howard and Sandy Besser,Stanley and Amy Besser. Cherished grandmother of Dana (Brad), David (Wei), Andria (Ali), Michael, Alex, Eli and Max. Great-grandmother to Terran, Bryden and Zoey. She touched many lives of all who knew her. Besser family Please accept my sincerest condolences on the passing of your mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a long time very good friend of my parents and she always greeted me with a warm smile whenever I saw her. In my experience and in my eyes she was a gentle soul and deserved to be recognized by all who knew her. Unfortunately, given our present circumstances that is not possible. Please know that you are in my thoughts during this difficult time as you would most certainly would have been if my parents were still here to mourn the passing of a wonderful friend.

We are thinking of the entire family at this difficult time. I have known Shirley since she was 18 (met in Montreal) and she has been a special, close friend for all these years. On the occasions that I had a chance to meet Rose, I found her to be a warm, friendly and kind person, with a very inviting smile. Now that I learned from the funeral services that Rose played a key role in helping her husband with their photography business in Montreal, there is a connection with my wife Jane, in that Jane's parents wonderful wedding photos(1950) were done by Besser Studios. Dear Besser family, Our sincere condolences on your loss. We fondly remember Raizel and Fromek from many years ago after the war when they came to live in Montreal with her and our aunt Helen, Raizel's mother's sister. Helen was also our aunt as she was married to Menashe, our father's brother. Raizel was a beautiful young woman who cried very often, and when asked why she cried she always answered "I have a lot to cry about."
