Solomon (Sol) Estrin passed away peacefully on December 29, 2021. Sol is survived by his siblings, Tevye (Melissa) and Esther (Howard); his loving children, Howard (Lili), Debbie (Steve), Tova (Marshall) and Kayla (Wayne); his many grandchildren and his great grandchild Zoey. Sol is predeceased by his sister Phyllis

A free spirit, Sol had a strong Jewish soul, a spirit of adventure, and always dreamt big. May his memory be a blessing to all those who knew and loved him.

I was saddened to read of Sol’s passing. He was quite the guy and we in St. Catharines ALWAYS enjoyed having him at our services. Being on the bimah, being honoured with an aliya, helping to make a minyan. These were pleasures for him and a pleasure for us as well. He laboured over his infirmities at the end and I am glad he was among family. May his memory always be a blessing.
