Moses/Moshe Bar-Yoseph passed away peacefully on March 21, 2022 (18 Adar II). Beloved husband to Revital. Loving father to Hannah, Nathaniel, and Shira, devoted son of Ephrim and Miriam, a wonderful brother to Ron, brother-in-law to Lara, Arie, Mickey, Sonia and Judith, an inspiration to his nieces and nephews, Talia, Adina, Jordan, Sean, Alyssa, Aiden, Evin, Logan and Liv. Moses had an uncanny ability to connect with everyone who came in contact with him. He was loved and admired by many. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society 1-888-939-3333

Moses taught me so much in the time that I knew him. He talked a lot and knew a lot - seemingly about everything, but mostly about how to be kind. He had the rare gift of true caring. He believed in me, defended me, and was never afraid to tell me I could do better. He was always full of surprises. His passion for l music - surprise. His fondness for tasty dim sum - surprise. His love for his children and his wife - no surprise at all. His pride in you all was unmistakable. It found its way into every conversation - the dancing, the makeup, the artistry, the t-shirt business, your strength and your love. In a year of such hardship, his commitment to you and his gratefulness for you never waivered. It hurts to lose my friend - one I never expected to make. I raise a glass to Moses - he made his life count.

I met Moses in a theatre class that we both took over 30 years ago. I remember him to be always smiling and friendly. He did his monologues so well. Very occasionally over the years, we ran into one another. He continue to have that same smile and exude the warmth that I remember from many years earlier. From the Australian connection: I met Moses in early 1995 in Frankston, Victoria Australia and we studied Education together that year. Our large group was roughly half Canadian and half Aussie. He stood out very quickly not only for his ponytail ha ha, but for his very friendly and sociable demeanour. We hung out a bit that year and enjoyed jokes and impersonations of The Simpsons among other things. At my 30th birthday party he introduced me to a drink called a Flaming Zambuca, literally with flames on top! I had to be carried out of that venue. A beautiful guy who was well liked. As a man of faith myself, I have offered solemn prayers for Mo and hope to see him again in paradise. I watched the livestream from my home in Brisbane Queensland. We hardly knew Moses but we had a true sense that he was a lovely man. Ron and Moses were raised by two ‘old country’ folks; down to earth, good family values and a strong sense of tradition. I knew Mo since grade school and have never met a nicer person. AEPi events and poker games were always better when he was there. He would be serious, then funny, then seriously funny. I'm smiling now, thinking about him as I write this. He has left all of us with great memories and will be truly missed.

I worked with Moses for years at KPMG. I was fortunate to work alongside him as a leader on the HRLT and on a number of projects. Moses was such a bright light and inspiring to those around him at work. He was always highly engaging, full of energy and deeply interested in others. I felt so fortunate to recently reconnect with Moses by phone just weeks before his passing and I was so honored to have the brief time with him, to support him and pass along words of care to him from both myself and others at KPMG. I was only hoping and praying for more time with him. I can only imagine your grief with his loss. I am thinking of you and sending along my deepest condolences. Kim

Moishe... My Best Man, My Dearest Friend, My Brother. Trying to make heads or tails as to why you left us so early, is impossible. To see you suffer was heartbreaking. This is heartbreaking news. Mo was a contemporary of mine at CHAT and later a close friend of one of my cousins. Therefore he was connected both thru school and family. He was a man who made people happy. His impressions were hilarious; his presence energizing. He was simply wonderful to be around. I will remember his smile, kindness and joyous sense of humour.
