TO ALL OF MY DEAR FAMILY THE LOSS IS HASHEM FOR HE LEAVES WITH THE ONE WHO PASSED AWAY FOR WE ARE A PART OF HASHEM THAT IS THE REASON WE MUST STOP AND GIVE RESPECT AS THE FUNERAL PROCESSIONS GOES BY IT IS A GREAT LOSS FOR ALL OF EACH ONE RECEIVED LOVE AND ATTENTION AND A LISTENING EAR IN THE WAY OF THEIR NEFESH. AS I WRITE THIS I KNOW THAT SAVTA DIDA AYALA AH IS LISTENING. A MOTHER CAME ONCE TO A GREAT RABBI WITH A QUESTION RABBI MY KIDS DONT RESPECT ME THE RABBI ANSWERED WHEN YOUR KIDS WERE YOUNGER DID YOU RESPECT THEM THE MOTHER REPLIED NO. SAVTA DODA AYALA AH GREW UP IN A HOME TO LOVE RESPECT AND UNDERSTAND THE NEEDS OF ONES NEFESH AS SHE WOULD ALWAYS TELL US THAT THERE ISNT ANY BLAMING ONESELF OR THE OTHER FOR NOTHING HAPPENS ON ITS OWN. IF PERMISSION IS GIVEN FROM ABOVE THEN IT WILL HAPPEN IF PERMISSION ISNT GIVEN FROM ABOVE IT WILL NOT HAPPEN WE DONT RUN OUR OWN WORLD. WE ALL HAD A MERIT TO LEARN EACH AND EVERY MOMENT WHETHER IN PERSON OR ON THE PHONE WITH HER THERE WAS A LIFE LESSON TO BE TAKEN AWAY. EVERYONE SHE MET SHE HAD AN IMPACT AND LEFT A LONG-LASTING LIFE IMPACT WHICH WILL CONTINUE TO BE A MERIT FOR US AND HER SOUL AMEN EVERY CONVERSATION WAS ENDED TO MERIT TO SEE HASHEM SEND THE MOSHIACH AND HASHEM REBUILDING THE THIRD TEMPLE SPEEDILY AND IMMEDIATELY AMEN/ HER REPLY IN YIDDISH WAS QUICK AND EVEN QUICKER AMEN. HAMOKOM YENACHEM ESTCHEM AMEN WE WILL ALWAYS HAVE A PLACE IN YOUR NESHAMA AND YOU WILL HAVE A PLACE IN OURS AMEN WE LOVE YOU.

Dear family, We remember with fondness Mrs. Unterman, our son’s grade one Ivrit teacher at USDS. Although over 30 years have passed, her patience and love for her students are treasured memories.

I don't know Mrs. Unterman, but in an age of incivility, illicit behavior, and pure selfishness, I would have been honored to know such a pious individual. We can all learn from her noble example.

Dear Saul and Karen and the entire family, My condolences on the loss of your beloved mother and mother in law. When Saul and I were dance partners I heard story after story about Ayala, all told with affection and humour. I could sense the special bond and knew the whole family loved being around her. May her memory be for a blessing.

To my dear cousins Sheila, Saul, Karen and all the grandchildren and the next generation- I'm so sorry for your loss -losing your mother is so difficult and especially when she lived with you the void it leaves is hard to bear . Ayala z"l was a very special and loving gentle soul with a great sense of responsibility to help everyone when I became a teacher always sought her help in the early years of my career. BDE. I was lucky to have your mother as my grade one teacher over 40 years ago. She was kind, loving and nurturing. May your family find comfort in memories and each other.

To the entire Unterman family, May G-d comfort you among the other mourners of Zion and Jerusalem. When our son, Adam, became engaged to Rebecca, Ayala's granddaughter, we were invited to an Unterman Shabbat dinner. At that time we did not live in Toronto. Upon meeting Ayala, she gave big hugs to Brenda and me and said "I already love you as you are part of my family." We then knew she was a very special woman, a person loved by all who were fortunate to know her. May she now rest in peace and suffer no more pain. Michael and Brenda Somer

Dear members of the Unterman family, I remember with much love and respect the wonderful Ayala. I had the joy of being with her every day in my capacity as secretary. I also had the privilege of knowing your late father. Since it was a one person office, I could not leave to go for lunch. There were many times when Ayala offered to bring me "just a little nosh" on the days I forgot to bring my own food. I can still taste her strudel. My daughter, Lisa, was in "Mrs Unterman's" grade one class, where she received her first Siddour. All these memories go back over 46 years. May her memory to your entire family be a source of strength and solace.
