As a friend of 40 years who adored your parents both, I wish you three peace and healing. Di, I will never forget the comfort I felt at the sight of you and your Mom rushing into the ER to be with me when my Dad was dying. You two would have been nowhere else. It is so difficult to accept a loved one leaving us but 'm certain Cindy would want you to know that she's doing so much better now and to not cry for your loss but celebrate the life she lived, how she made life, for all who knew her, better, the love she shared, the care and concern for others she gave freely, and mostly, remember all the good times you all had together.

Shirley, Diana and Albert and families. I am so sorry for your loss. I was shocked to hear of your mom's passing at which time I learned of your dad's. I was friends with Cindy in middle school and we reconnected, in Makor Chapter B. B. W., as young married women with children Your family introduced my family to the fun of camping and we had our first camping week experience together. Our families spent time together over the years when you and my kids were young children. I also fostered 11 of her charges when she was in a bind and my daughter and I found loving homes for each one, except Morris, who stayed with me. I have very warm and fond memories of your parents. They were hard working people who were very committed and generous with their time for any worthy cause. May their memories always be a blessing to you and bring peace to your families as you move forward. ♥ Carolyn

I just found out that Cindy Girard has passed away ...early August 2022...from the latest Animal Aid and Adoption news letter that I received in the mail in The Yukon. I would like to send my deepest condolences to her children...whom I did not know...I always remember Cindy...helping my Auntie Joanie...@ 55 Elgin Street in Thornhill. The woman who is now in charge of the newsletter...Dorthy...does not appear to have known my Aunt Joan...who started Animal Aid and Adoption at her home on Elgin Street in Thornhill...back in the early 70's. There was also Pauline...and another lady...whose name escapes me...but I will always be forever grateful for all your mom did to help my Aunt Joan and Dr. Leibrecht...the veterinarian...on John Street..make Animal Aid and Adoption the success it was back in the day...and it's continued success even 20 years after Joan passed away. My deepest condolences ....your mom was such a lovely person and animal lover...She will always have a place in my heart. with love...Janis Jessop on Kookatsoon Lake..in The Yukon .
