Celia Bullion, a week shy of her 100th birthday, passed away peacefully on Sunday September 4th 2022. Born in Glace Bay and proud of her East Coast roots, she lived in Toronto for nearly 80 years. She was a business owner, active member of B’nai Brith, volunteer with Hadassah, and shoe salesperson extraordinaire. Celia was a proud Zionist and visited Israel many times to see family and volunteer with Sar-el.

Married to Issie Bullion (z”l) for 36 years, she got a second lease on life when she married Joel Scher (z”l) at 86 years young. Celia is survived by her daughters Anita Wein (Eddy, z”l), and Mindy Bullion (Joe Benmergui), and stepson Hal Scher (Donna). She was a cherished grandmother to Kevin (Sharon), David, Michael (Monika), and Sarah, and proud great grandmother to Eden, Dalia, and Noa Wein, and Levi and Noa Benmergui.
