Filip Peisich passed away at the age of 81 after a heartbreaking battle with dementia which played out progressively over the course of a decade.
Born on January 19, 1942 in Iasi Romania at the peak of the Holocaust, he was the youngest of three brothers. Filip went on to study radio engineering, served briefly in the Israeli army and moved to Canada in the early 1970s with his older brother Bercu where the two of them worked side by side in the radio department of the Royal York Hotel for over three decades.
Although a gentle and quiet man by nature, his heart was enormous and always full of love and compassion. He would do anything for his family and those in need. His infectious laugh, sweet demeanor and sense of humor were among his greatest attributes.
Filip will be dearly missed by his brother Bercu, his sister-in-law Alicia, his niece Betty Bella and her husband Michael, his nephew Joseph and his grandnieces and grandnephew Alissa, Isabella, Sarah and Nathan.
May his memory be a blessing to those who knew and loved him and may all the elements of his soul, his nefesh, ruach and n’shamah be at peace.
