Phillip, Miriam and Mark , Billy and I are so deeply sorry for your loss . She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and aunt. Billy remembers her as a young woman back on Euclid Street when they all shared a house , a lifetime of fond memories. Sending you our love and sympathies Billy and Sandy

Cousins Phil, Miriam and Mark (and all of the extended family), so sorry for the loss of our Aunty Lucy. So many fond memories of visiting with you all when we were young and picnics with all of our families growing up. I still have an old napkin that she wrote her coffee cake recipe on for me one day at High Park. She was a kind soul. May your loving memories continue to provide comfort.

To Dear Friends, The Ber Family, I had just become aware of the passing of your beloved mother, and Bubie Lucy. My parents and your late father Sam, came to Canada together. And they became "the family" that almost everyone who arrived on the same ship did. They adopted one another. Your parents Lucy and Sam married in Toronto, and for me the rest is history. I personally knew the Ber Family from the days of Major St. in the Kensington Market area, once the hub of the Jewish community. It is unfortunate that as time moved forward and my parents passed, we seemed to have lost touch with each other. But the Ber family was always there at the back of my mind, in my heart, and in old black and white photo's. Memories is all that we have left once a loved one is gone. I have not enough words to say what I feel, but I know that Lucy was loved, cherished by all those who knew her, and will be very much missed. I am extending my sincerest condolences to everyone, and hope and wish that the wonderful and memorable memories you all made together in her lifetimes and yours, will help you now in your time of grief. I know that I will always remember the Ber family and Lucy.

I am sorry for your loss. My grandfather’s name was Ben Ber. We have lost touch with all of his family. He did assist family to move and settle in Toronto. Could you be related ?
