It is with great sadness that the family of Bernie Schwartz announces his passing after a courageous battle.  He was the beloved husband of Caryl for a wonderful 61 years.  Loving father and father-in-law of Randy and Andrea, Ronny and Johanna, Jordan and Michelle, and Dara and Amir.  Cherished grandfather of Rachel, Alissa, Ryan, Lauren, Jacob, Justin, Julia, Jeremy and Kaitlyn.  Adored brother and brother-in-law of Alan and Liz and Stephen and the late Myrna Hanet.  He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and business associates.  Donations to Humber River Hospital Foundation (http://www.hrhfoundation.ca or (416) 242-1000), Canadian Shaare Zedek Hospital Foundation http://www.hospitalwithaheart.ca or (416) 781-3584) or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Immediately after the service friends and family are invited to Chabad on Bayivew, 2437 Bayview Ave., Toronto. Street parking will be available on Country Lane and Old Bridle Path.

Shiva will be observed at 5 Bayview Ridge Cres., Toronto, M2L 1E8. Shiva visits Tuesday 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday through Thursday 2 to 4 p.m., 7 to 9 p.m., Friday 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday 2 to 4 p.m., and 7 to 9 p.m. Evening prayers at 7:30 p.m. Shiva conclude Monday morning.
