Dear Buchbinder family; condolences on your loss of my cousin Irving. When I was a boy in the '60s he would come to visit my grandmother Sarah Gelbloom, very often. She was from the Mendrovski side of his family. I would have the pleasure of speaking to him most days as I work beside the Ambassador Club. He always stopped to talk with me and find out about the family. I remember him being a very strong man always looking good and I respected him immensely. I've lived in Israel for many many years now and did not know that he was still enjoying the pleasures of being with the family he built.

Dear Bernice, Mindy Evy and Larry, I was very saddened to read this morning that your Husband, Father and Grandfather had passed. Irving has always been a part of my life, from the time he came from Israel and was friends with my Dad Jacob. They were partners in the construction company Goldbinder Construction and built many houses in the "Manor". We lived next door to each other on Evanston. I was raised on hearing all of the horific stories of the Holocaust, and then the amazing ones of the war of Independence in Israel and how our fathers faught to give us the beautiful country it is today. When I moved to Fisherville, your Dad would always stop at my house on his walks after his heart attack. I loved seeing Irving. I don't know whether you knew, but my Dad Jacob passed away on Nov. 23, this year and I miss him so much. Unfortunately, that whole generation is leaving us, and have past on the torch to us, their children to carry on the rememberance, Never Again! Do you think that in their wildest dreams, after what they went through in their lives, they would have ever believed they would live into their late nineties? May his precious memories bring you comfort and help you through this difficult time.

To the entire Buchbinder family So sorry to hear about Irving”s passing. My condolences to all at this most difficult time. I had the pleasure of working at the Ambassador Club for over 4 years. Irv was a wonderful individual to work for. Like my father Benny, who was also a Holocaust survivor, Irv would share with me his story’s. He was a true “Mench” May his memories be a blessing.
