Arlene,Alex,David and family. I was saddened to hear of Ruth's passing and happy for all of you to have had her in your lives for so many years. I have no doubt all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were a huge source of Nachus for her. She was a lovely lady. For years she was my Aunt Esther's sister and Iwould see you all on Bowman St., in Hamilton..which was almost a family street, Uncle Joe Garshowitz Z"L with our shared, Aunt Esther and my Aunt Esther and Al Shector. Fast forward, all of us in Toronto and Arlene and I would see each other at Second Cup and various functions and quite often, your dear Mom Ruth would be with you and it would always be a pleasure to see her and catch up. There were also my personal and poignant memories of Ruth's friendship with my mother, Thelma Garshowitz of Blessed Memory and how they so enjoyed each other's company, especially at their regular gatherings at the table of mutual lady friends to play Maj Jong. My mom adored your mom and I believe the feeling was mutual. Arlene, I haven't seen your siblings since they were kids; however, I know you and Norm were there for your mother and you were devoted to her. You illustrated great Kavod to her and to your late father, Sam. Hashem will reward your diligence in the mitzvah of Honouring your father and your mother.
