It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gersh (Gerald) Sone, Gershon ben Avraham v’Charna, on Friday August 9 2024, 5 Av 5784.

Beloved son of the late Albert & Shirley Sone and son-in-law of Harry & Bella Morris. Loving husband of Sheila (nee Morris), devoted father and father-in-law to Michael & Ophira, Lianne & Bruce, Todd & Shawna. Caring brother and brother-in-law of the late Mayer Sone, Elaine Sone, Sheila Sone & Michael Giovanazzo, the late Milton Morris and Ted Morris. Fondly remembered by 14 grandchildren: Galit & Adam, Alon & Eliana, Samara & Kyle and Liam, Danielle, Rachel and Stephanie, Zach & Philippa, Andrew and Nathaniel, and 6 great-grandchildren. Favourite song “Waltzing Matilda”.  A wonderful and super guy.

Shiva details: 

Shiva at 11 Browside Avenue, Toronto. Shiva begins after burial and ends on Friday following Mincha at 2:00 pm.

Davening times: Shacharit 7:15 am, Mincha/Maariv 8:00 pm. Mincha on Friday at 2:00 pm.

No Mincha/Maariv at the shiva house on Monday. No shiva visits Monday evening.

Visiting hours from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, 2:00 – 5:30 pm and 7:00 – 9:30 pm
