With great sadness, we announce the passing of Sue Mohan, beloved wife of Satish, mother and mother-in-law of Neil and Larissa Mohan of Toronto, Sarah and Daniel Burnier of Switzerland and devoted sister and sister-in-law to Miriam and Ron Shapiro of Florida. Sue was the cherished Grandma of Noah, Ben, Claire and Ella and a very beloved aunt to many. She was a treasured member of the Mohan/Mathur family and along with her husband Sat a frequent visitor of their family’s homes in the United States, India and United Kingdom and elsewhere.
Sue was a much loved and well respected teacher in several Scarborough secondary schools where she taught Mathematics, Special Education and Guidance. Her impact on the lives of thousands of students will live on.
Sue’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the many doctors, nurses and staff at Princess Margaret Hospital for the excellent care they provided. Particular thanks goes to Dr. Marta Davidson and Nurse Practitioner Kirsten Lewis. Funeral services will take place at Steeles Memorial Chapel 350 Steeles Ave West on Thursday November 14th, 2024 at 12:00 noon, followed by internment at Pardes Chaim Cemetery 11818 Bathurst St., Vaughan. Friends and family are invited to observe Shiva and pay their respects to the mourners at the family home 25 Stiver Court, Unionville immediately following the internment and on Friday and Saturday from 2:00pm – 5:00pm and on Sunday from 5:00pm to 7:00pm
