Myriam “Madame Mimi” Nahmiache, 92, of Mogador, Morocco, passed away peacefully in Thornhill, Ontario on December 21, 2024 surrounded by her children.  Myriam was born on January 17, 1932, emigrated to Canada at the age of 33 with her husband and children, and lived a life defined by family, laughter, generosity, kindness, and a fine business sense.  Mimi, beloved wife of David, loving mother of Johnny, Marcelle and Armand, cherished grandmother of Brandon, Lindsay, Michelle, Michael, Marc, Chelsea, Troy and Cody, adored great grandmother of Aiden, Daxton, Sienna, Colette, Dylan, Ryder, Eloise, Ashton and Ethan, devoted sister of Elvire (together known as “the twins”), Jacques Albert, Jojo, Maurice and Jackie, and cherished friend to many, will be missed by all who knew her.

Mimi will be remembered by her infectious laugh, loving touch, her dynamite Moroccan cooking, her love of Florida, bingo, the casino, and late night TV with a sip of tequila.  She was blessed to be surrounded by love every day of her life and never spent a night alone living with Martin and Marcelle since 1986.  Her legacy will live on through the many generations that follow her.  May her memory forever be a blessing.
