It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved family Matriarch, Fran Stern on Wednesday January 15, 2025, at the age of 90.

Fran was an incredibly bright burning light and soul to the countless lives she blessed and enriched with her presence.  Whether it was for her immediate family, extended relatives, friends, or even strangers, Fran had a heart so large and loving that she could fill the entire world and beyond.  There was simply no person that Fran couldn’t have positively touched in her time with us.

She was also a true fashionista at heart and would wow family and strangers alike with her sense of fashion and pure joy for getting out there and socializing.  A day simply wasn’t a day without getting out there and enjoying the world with everyone.  She also was an avid follower of politics, movies, talking on the phone, and shopping.  She would never miss a day or invite to go out with family.  We were never at a loss for a stimulating conversation with her.  She also was and exceptional writer an novelist and even published a short story entitled, Love In A Nursing Home for which she won accolades in 2024.

Fran is pre-deceased by her faithful and loving husband of 60 years, Lionel, her brothers Sammuel and Larry; and leaves behind her wonderful children Adrienne, David, and Erica, her daughter in-law Brenda, son in-law Brian.  In addition, she leaves behind grandchildren Danielle, Jason and Cassidy. Jordan and Jordana. Stephen, Sean, Jacob, and Libby. Lastly are great grandchildren Anika, Felix, Zoe, Kali, Owen, and Oscar. Beyond her immediate family there are countless relatives and even more infinite friends.

Finally, we would like to acknowledge and express our deepest appreciation and gratitude to her exceptional care team at Eagle Terrace (special love and thanks to Anna B.), and her amazing doctors, Dr. Judy Kalnyk, and Dr. Bernie Silverman.
