Arriving to Canada in the early 90th, he continued working as a metal worker at a factory in GTA late into his retirement age. He enjoined physical work, active lifestyle, the world around him and the circle of friends and family. He was immensely proud of and dedicated to his children Marina and Igor, children-in-law Alla and Igor and his incredible grandchildren Olena, Rochelle, Grisha, Karina and Nathaniel. Most importantly, in his daily life, and in all his endeavours, he received love, strength and support from his wife Alla, whom he married before embarking on a mandatory military service, which ended up lasting 3.5 years. In Semen’s latest years this support from Alla became incredibly important. His dedication to his family, relatives, friends and work, natural optimism and interest in live knew no bounds. He navigated and courageously dealt with every turn of his life, which spanned multiple decades, countries and continents.
Semen is survived by his loving wife Alla, two children, two children-in-law, and five grandchildren. His passing will leave a void in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.
