It feels like a great light has gone out with the passing of our dear mother, but because of her big heart and sharing it with so many of us her light continues to shine through all those who knew and love her.

Please join us for the funeral service at Pardes Chaim Cemetery on Sunday, May 18th, 2025 at 1:30 p.m.

It will also be live-streamed for those who can not join in-person – to view the service virtually please go to https://smclive.ca/ on Sunday, May 18th, 2025 at 1:30 p.m.

We will then all go on to the Family house for Shiva, please join us – details below.

Shiva Details: Family and friends are invited back to the home immediately following the interment. The remainder of the Shiva will be observed privately.

Lena, Julia and Lenny, My father, Louis Frankian joins me to extend to all three of you our sincere condolences on the passing of your dear mom, our dear Tanya. Having been introduced to her and your late father Leonid, in 1982, the list of memories, stories and anecdotes of my Dad and late mom's, as well as my interactions with them, lengthy, entertaining and sweet. Tanya was such a warm and generous person. Going into her home you always felt welcome. You could not leave Tanya's home without something to eat, a lesson about history or hearing the latest accomplishment of her kids or grand kids. Incredibly proud and stoic, master of urban agriculture, I cherish the times I was able to spend with her and miss her terribly. My sincere condolences to all family and friends who had the good fortune of having her in their lives.

So very saddened by the passing of dearest Tanya. I loved her with all my heart. She was a constant light, giving so much positivity and happiness to all those around her.
