It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the Matriarch of our family Yetta Lanys on Friday, May 16,2025. She passed away peacefully at the amazing age of 100 years plus.
Beloved wife of the late Lou Lanys. Her children Shane and Patty,  Marty and Sandi. Her grandchildren Shawn, Jana, Steve, Tiffany, TJ, Laurie and Michael. Her great-granddaughter Reagan.
She leaves behind her sisters Marie and Sam Rubin, Sylvia and the late Sid Fisher, Frances and the late Mote Weldman,  Helen and Sheldon Jahss and the late Isadore and Cookie Fine and Ruthie and Martin Pearlstein.
Sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws Marty and Ruthie Lanys, Dorothy and Milton Finkelstein, Sid and Vicki Lanys, Isadore and Sandy Lanys.
She will be truly missed by all her many nieces, nephews and friends.
In the nursing home she was well known by all who called her the Queen of the forth floor. She was on the ball and could talk to anyone about not only Canadian Politics but U.S. Politics as well. She was always dressed to perfection where everything had to match, head to toe.
She will truly be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Many thanks go out to the many doctors and nursing staff of North York Senior Care who looked after her for the past 2 years.
She will forever be in our hearts and never forgotten.
