With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Gloria Wurman, who passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025, at North York General Hospital, in her 94th year.
Gloria was the devoted wife of Nachemia z”l for nearly 56 years; a loving mother and mother-in-law to Hanna and Joe, Sara and Yhoram, Avi and Sharon; and a proud grandmother to Morry, Ely and Jorie, Eitan and Jaime, Adina, Justin and Sherri, Natalie and Jeremy, Cory and Tiffany, Ilana and Alex. She was a doting great-grandmother to Michael, Matthew, Casey, Jenny, Noah, Levi, Shira, Jordyn, Zack, Melrose, Parker, and Max.
A Holocaust survivor, Gloria lost her entire family in the Shoah. Through unimaginable hardship, she showed extraordinary strength and resilience, ultimately building a loving and joyful Jewish home for generations to come.
Gloria was always full of life—she was the heart of every celebration, kind and caring to all who knew her, and a true inspiration. Her warmth, strength, and spirit will be deeply missed
