I love you so much Zadie. My Zadie was not only a wonderful man but also a true role model in my life. His kindness, strength, and wisdom shaped the way I see the world, and I am grateful for the countless memories we shared together. Whether through his stories, his guidance, or his example, he showed me the importance of integrity and love for family. His spirit will live on in the lessons he taught and the moments we cherished. He leaves behind a legacy of love and inspiration that I will carry with me always. Please say hi to Bubbie. I miss you 😘

I want to send my heartfelt condolences to the Goldstein family during this tough time. Al was so much more than just a father-in-law to me – he was a true patriarch who opened his heart and home from day one, welcoming me into the family with the unconditional love and acceptance that only a genuine father could provide. He never made me feel like an outsider; instead, he embraced me as his own son, and for that gift, I will be forever grateful. Al embodied everything that defines a true family man. As a loving father, devoted zaide, and cherished great zaide (GZ), he understood that family wasn't just about blood relations – it was about the bonds we choose to nurture and the love we choose to share. His gentle spirit and generous heart created a foundation of warmth that touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. One of my most treasured memories of Al perfectly captures his character and the joy he brought to every gathering. At the end of every meal, without fail, he would lean back with that familiar twinkle in his eye and declare, "With a meal this good, you must have a good dessert!" It wasn't just about the food – though he certainly appreciated a well-prepared meal. It was his way of extending every precious moment with family, of ensuring that no one rushed away from the table, and of creating those lingering conversations that become the golden threads in the fabric of our memories. This simple tradition spoke volumes about who Al was at his core. He understood that family traditions aren't just customs we follow – they're the sacred rituals that bind generations together. Through his example, he taught us that the sweetest moments in life often come after we've already been nourished, when we choose to linger a little longer, share a little more, and savour the blessing of being together. Al's legacy lives on in every family tradition he helped establish and nurture. Whether it was his insistence on proper dessert after every meal, his way of making everyone feel included and valued, or his quiet strength that held the family together through both joyful celebrations and challenging times, his influence will continue to shape our family for generations to come. I find deep comfort in knowing that Al is now reunited in heaven with his beloved wife and daughter, finally at peace after a life well-lived and deeply loved. While our hearts ache with the pain of his absence, we can take solace in the certainty that his suffering has ended, and he is once again whole, surrounded by the love that sustained him throughout his earthly journey. We will profoundly miss Al at every family function – his warm smile, his gentle wisdom, his way of making even the simplest gathering feel special and meaningful. The empty chair at our table will serve as a constant reminder of the tremendous loss we've all experienced. Yet even in our grief, we will carry forward the beautiful memories and cherished traditions he gave us. The countless hours we spent together over the many, many years have become precious treasures that no amount of time can diminish. Every shared meal, every family celebration, every quiet conversation – these moments have been permanently etched into our hearts, creating a legacy of love that will comfort us in the days ahead and inspire us to honour his memory through our own actions and choices. Al's impact on our family cannot be measured in years or counted in memories alone. It lives on in the way we treat one another with kindness, the way we prioritize family above all else, and the way we understand that the greatest gift we can give is our presence, our love, and our commitment to keeping the family bonds strong. Rest in peace, Dad. Your love, your laughter, and your legacy will live on in all of us.

My condolences to the entire family. May his memory be a blessing to all that knew him. It was fun seeing him navigating his winters in Florida….loved the beach, his card games, pool time, every morning breakfast at the cafe, and numerous cruises to mention a few of his activities. We will celebrate your life with lots of funny stories. RIP
