With immense love and sadness, we share the passing of Barbara Ross on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto.

Barbara was the beloved wife and true partner of Roland. Together they built a life filled with love, adventure, and laughter. She was the devoted mother of Erin and Chris Leigh, and Robyn and Evan Cooper, and the most adoring Bubby to Sylvie, Jordan, Nathan, and Mia, who were her greatest joy.

Daughter of the late Mary and Jim Spergel, Barbara carried her parents’ legacy of warmth, generosity, and resilience. She was known for her boundless love of family, her joy in the simple pleasures of life, and her gift for making everyone around her feel special. Her smile and spirit lit up every room, and her optimism and gratitude—always saying, “I am so lucky!”—will be remembered by all who knew her.
