Elayne Isenberg, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on October 28, 2025, in Toronto, Ontario.

Devoted mother to Pam & Hersh Brenman, Ira Day & Mandy Maresky, and Adam Day & Elisa Udaskin. Loving Savta of Shayna and Tzvi, Arielle and Shmuel, Benjamin, Sydnee, Kobi, and Emma. Loving Great-Grandmother of Emery, Noah, Jack and Miki. Beloved sister of Marshall and Debbie Taylor, and Robert Taylor & Lisa Mellet.

Elayne will be remembered for her joie de vivre, love for her family and friends and her incredible ability to light up every room she entered. She was elegant, kind and always up for new adventures.

Sunday: 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

I have personally witnessed your unwaivering love and support for your cherished Mother, Safta and Sister ever since I have known all of you and moreso during this difficult time. Elayne battled decades of illness with quiet courage, grace and without complaint. Dear Pamela, Ira, Adam and families, Since I heard about Elayne yesterday she’s all I’ve thought about. How I first met her at Associated and found out where you guys lived and that we could carpool together. We ended up spending that summer together at Balfour Beach and had the best summer. Elayne was so giving and a joy to be with. Even though we hadn’t kept in touch I’ll never forget her and the wonderful times we had together. I went to her for everything. For 40 yrs I worked with her at Party Packagers and Pop Toys. We had the best times travelling cross Canada to do our road shows. It was always about at the end of our day, where should we eat tonight?. That was what mattered. She was the hardest worker I have ever known. Everyone that came into Elaynes life loved her. I think you get the gest of all of this. You all had the privilege of Elayne being your mother your sister your Sufta your great Sufta and your friend. Hold her memories close. She will be missed by everyone she touched.
