The world weeps alongside your family today. Alex Strasser was a legend. The business and philanthropic patriarch of a dynasty. His disarming kindness, warmth and humility were attributes rarely seen in someone as successful. But Alex represented the best of us: brilliant and sharp in business and with people, and deeply empathetic and gentle when the situation required it. What an extraordinary legacy he leaves behind. The world feels shattered in this moment because Alex was so great, so large, so strong, that it somehow felt like he would live forever. This morning, I am envisioning Alex reunited with his beloved at the Gates of Heaven. Can you imagine the entrance they will make, arm-in-arm? Heaven feels holier now, and HaShem just greeted another angel to work with Ester to fill all the cracks in our world with gold. That’s the thing with greatness — it never stops… Alex was Great in every sense and we will never forget him and all the kindness and beauty he leaves behind, which he architected with his beloved bride. Rest in peace, dear Alex. The ripple effects of your legacy will live on through your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
