We are saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Arlene Shnall at the Baycrest Palliative Care Unit on Wednesday, December 24, 2025.

Beloved wife of the late Albert. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Michael and his beloved late wife Shari, and Jeffrey and his wife Alison. Adored grandma of Joanna (Jared) Seider, Laura (Jason) Klemensberg, and Benjamin Shnall. Cherished great-grandmother (GG) of Mia, Ellie, and Liam.

She will be greatly missed by Adi Shnall, whom she loved as a daughter, and special friend Anne Balaban. She leaves behind a large extended family and wonderful in-laws whom she loved very much.

The family would like to thank Dr. Jordan Elmalem and his Mount Sinai Palliative Care team, as well as Dr. Ginah Kim and her Palliative Care team at Baycrest Hospital, about whom Arlene had wonderful things to say.

Arlene will be missed greatly. Rest in peace, GG.
