With great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Martin Douglas Novak, on December 24, 2025, at the age of 67.

Martin was the beloved husband of Vicki, and the devoted father to Louis and Stuart. He was the cherished son of Ruth (z”l) and Sam (z”l), a caring son-in-law of Carole Blackstein-Shafer, and a loving brother to Marcia Papoff (z”l) and her husband Gerry Papoff, and a dear nephew, cousin, and uncle, to many nieces, nephews, and extended family members whom he loved deeply. He was fortunate to have close friends who shared a deep and lasting bond with him.

Martin was a kind, steady, and generous man whose life centred around his family. He was always present for those he loved, offering support, loyalty, and warmth without hesitation. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will take place on Sunday, December 28, 2025, in the chapel at Steeles Memorial Chapel. Interment to immediately follow at Bathurst Lawn Memorial Park, Blue Star Lodge.
