Holocaust survivor, at 100 years old, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026 at Aspira Kensington Place, with her loving daughters by her side. Born in Staszów, Poland to Moishe (z”l) and Chana (z”l) Ajzenberg, Fela was known for her deep love for family, quiet strength, and enduring grace. She left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Fela was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life centred on family. She was the loving and devoted wife of the late Pinche (z”l) for 71 years. She is survived by her daughters, Ann Caplan and Sharon Adler, and by her sons-in-law Wayne Caplan, Martin Kushner, and the late Tom Adler (z”l). She was a cherished Bubie to Elana Caplan, Dayna Switzer (Jeff), David Adler (Esther), Zecharia Adler (Dena), and Brandon Adler (Devyn), and a proud Bubeshee to 17. She was predeceased by her sister, Batya (z”l), and by much of her extended family, who perished in the Holocaust. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to her devoted caregivers, Mary, Jemarie, Riza, Felly and Alma.
Fela led her family with warmth, integrity, and quiet determination. Her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support shaped generations and created a strong foundation rooted in yiddishkeit and menshlichkeit. She offered comfort through her presence and guidance through her example, leaving memories that will be held close by all who loved her.
