Debbie Saraga was an extraordinary matriarch whose kindness, strength, and love shaped everyone fortunate enough to know her. To know Debbie was truly to love her. She carried herself with grace, warmth, and an open heart, always putting family first and making space for others with compassion and generosity.

Debbie was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Gerry, and a deeply loving mother to her children, Shawn, Esther, Jack, and Risa. She welcomed her daughter-in-law, Stephanie, with love and pride, and found immeasurable joy in her grandchildren—Paige, Avi, Emily, Azarya, Efrayim, Miryam, James, and Leo—each of whom was a treasured part of her heart.

She shared a special and unbreakable bond with her twin sister, Elayn, and was dearly loved by her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Debbie also held a deep and genuine love for her nieces and nephews and their families, celebrating their lives, supporting them with warmth and enthusiasm, and cherishing her role in their journeys.

For 58 years, Debbie was a devoted teacher, touching generations of students with her patience, wisdom, and unwavering belief in each child’s potential. Teaching was not just her profession, but a calling—one she fulfilled with passion, dedication, and a deep sense of purpose. Her influence extended far beyond the classroom, leaving an enduring impact on countless lives.

Debbie’s kind heart was her hallmark. She had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and cared for, whether through a gentle word, quiet support, or steadfast presence. Her love was generous and enduring, and her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured, the students she inspired, and the countless lives she touched.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered, her memory a blessing and a guiding light for all who loved her.
