Renee accomplished much during her long life. She was a wife, a mother, a grandmother and a great grandmother, an elegant and stylish dresser, an artist, a world traveller, a beloved English teacher, a proofreader for everyone, an award-winning potter, and a maker of special and quirky knitted teddy bears. Above all else, Renee was devoted to her family; her children, Linda and Steven Block, Gary and Fiona Lifman, Tessa and Steven Meyer, and the late Janice and Ian Abramowitz; her grandchildren Ryan (Angele), Daniella (Gabe), Kim (Daniel), Olivia (Mike), Gavin, Joshua (Sarah), Leon (Stella), Robbie, Katya (Jesse) and Masha (Seth), and her great-grandchildren, Matthew, Noa, Hazel, Russell, Zoey, Oliver, Elliot, Connor, Vivian, Phoenix, Fern and Ezrin. We will all feel her loss deeply.
Renee was predeceased by her loving spouses Robbie Lifman and Leo Schamroth, her daughter and son in law, Janice and Ian, and by her grandchildren, Robyn and Michael. She felt the losses deeply and carried them inside her. Her will to live was strong, and she overcame many obstacles, moving through life with elegance and grace and casting light on all who came into contact with her, including her many friends at Sunrise Senior Living in Thornhill.
Renee will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
