With great sadness, our family announces the death of Lorna Ross, surrounded by her family on March 7, 2026 at age 80. Lorna was the proud mother of Jennifer Green (Claude Constantin), Karen Green (Christopher Williams), Jared Green (Katrina Pepper), and Karla Green (Kevin Weitzman), and the devoted and beloved Bubby to Maya (Dylan), Mischa, Cassidy, Leo, and Hayden.

Lorna is predeceased by her parents, Faye and Mory Ross, former husband Barry Green, and her twin sister, Dolores Szego. She leaves behind many relatives and friends that have been by her side since childhood, and will be especially missed by her cousin and best friend, Melany Moss.

Born and raised in Toronto where she lived almost the entirety of her life, Lorna was a passionate fan of Royal-watching, figure skating, reading historical fiction, and the Toronto Blue Jays. She was a life-long volunteer, including many years at Sunnybrook Hospital, instilling the importance of community connection in all of her children.

Being a Bubby was the great joy of Lorna’s life. She loved being with her grandchildren, spoiling them and going out for ice cream as much as they loved spending time with her, telling her about their adventures and saying yes to every slice of chocolate cake she offered.

Lorna was an expert knitter, and many people were lucky enough to have received an original piece from her, made with love, over the years. We will all miss her chicken soup, apple cake, and dry sense of humour.

Funeral will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026 at Mount Sinai Cemetery, YMHA section at 12:00 p.m. Friends and family are invited to join us for the Shiva immediately following the burial on Monday at 103 Arundel Ave Toronto ON M4K 3A3.
