It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of my beloved mom and cherished mother in law, Katalin Jonas. Born in 1919 prior to some of the most turbulent times in Europe’s history. Married the love of her life in her early twenties in Budapest. Her happiness was short lived when she lost her beloved husband in the events of the holocaust. She raised a son as a single mom through some difficult times, under nazism, than communism, than as a refugee with a young boy in a foreign land, always optimistic, and always grateful for everything life has given her, and that by the grace of God she and her 2 year old boy managed to survive. She had so much love in her heart that it overflowed, effecting everyone around her. She will be hugely missed by everyone who knew her. She will stay in our hearts forever.

Following the funeral on Monday, friends and family are invited back to the family home at 9 Burdock Lane, North York, ON, M3C 2G6
