Doris Sztybel (née Freedman) was born in Toronto on December 27, 1940, and died peacefully at home on September 13, 2026. She is now with her beloved spouse, Bernard Sztybel, who died on
March 5, 2025. Doris is survived by her loving children, Miriam, Elinor (Gino), and David (Cassandra), grandchildren, Natalie, Celina, Nicky, her beloved brother and sister, Murray and Rita, her nieces and nephews, friends, and animal companions. She will be sorely missed for her inherent goodness, kindness, generosity, quick wit, sense of humour, thoughtfulness, and dancing skills. She loved to dance. She was a loving and caring person who cared about the world and its inhabitants, human and non-human. She cared most of all about her family and also the welfare of animals. We will all miss you. You were a light in this world and you are still in our hearts.
