Howard Lawrence Kopstick, a cherished Husband, Father, Zaida, Brother, and Friend, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2026, at the age of 75. Howard lived a full life, filled with love, laughter & kindness.

Howard was a devoted husband to his beautiful wife Marla. Together they built a warm and welcoming home where family was always the centerpiece of their lives.

As a father, Howard was a guiding light for his children, Michael and Melanie and son-in-law Jay Kalinsky. He instilled in them the values of kindness, love and a sense of humour. Howard took immense pride in their accomplishments and was always their biggest supporter, cheering them on in every endeavor. His love extended to his grandchildren, Zack and Levi Kalnitsky, who brought him immeasurable love & joy.

In addition, Howard is survived by his loving sisters Arlene Kopstick, Pam Blachinsky and brother-in-law Hezi, devoted brother Joel Kopstick and sister-in-law Bethany and late sister Fern Karmiol and brother-in-law Moishe. The bonds of family were incredibly important to him, and he cherished the time spent with his siblings and many nephews and nieces.

Howard was an avid fisherman. He cherished the time spent with his children Michael & Melanie and grandchildren Zack & Levi teaching them the love of fishing. Howard’s love for gardening was equally profound; he found joy in nurturing plants and watching them flourish, a reflection of his nurturing spirit.

Howard’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures in life. He had a unique ability to connect with others, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. Howard’s laughter was infectious, and his kindness knew no bounds. He taught those around him the importance of community and the value of being present for one another.
