It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Al Goodman on October 26th at the age of 99.  Al’s life was a life well-lived. One filled with endless love of family, and a tremendous, infectious zest for life. He was among other things, a pilot, runner, skier and piano player. He was also a wickedly good joke teller. He was admired by his students at Forest Hill Junior High, where he taught for 14 years, and was loved by generations of children and young adults that he touched through his life’s work as owner and director of Camp New Moon. Al was a loving husband to Margaret (nee Schacter) for 72 years, devoted father and father-in-law to Len Goodman and Brenda Simpson, Jack and Sue Goodman,  and Judy and Joel Kornblum. Cherished Zaida to Carly (Rob Britton), Jennifer (Jon Rodness), Amy, Zack (Erin Silverstein), Zoë (Rossi Sas); Daniel (Laura Kalef), Jamie (Megan Mackellar), Rachel (Monty Kleinman). Proud great-grandfather to Avery, Cole, Cody, Emma, Rory, Ellie, Adina, Maya, Violet, and Cameron.
