It is with great sadness that we announce the passing our Beloved husband, father, grandfather (Papa), son, brother, uncle, Aaron Harry Murad on Friday Jan.17, 2025. Born in Iraq in 1927, Aaron’s life took him through many parts of the world. From schooling in Lebanon to settling in Israel in the early 50’s. There, Aaron completed his CPA designation at Tel Aviv University and met and married his beloved wife, Tikva. Shortly after his son Morry was born, he moved again in the mid 60’s, this time to Montreal. There he welcomed his daughters, Renat and Eileen, all while completing another CPA designation at McGill University, and then going into business. His travels then continued with his family to Toronto. There he was thrilled to welcome his son in law, David and daughter in law, Michelle. Nothing made him happier than when his grandchildren were born, first Eden, then Jonah, followed by twins, Tyler and Sage. A lover of music, both as a classical composer and musician, Papa’s encyclopedic knowledge and intelligence saw no bounds. Always on the forefront of technology, Papa embraced the modern world and was recently teaching himself to speak Spanish via his mobile app.(In addition to the English, French, Hebrew and Arabic that he already spoke). Papa also coauthored a book with his sister about their family history. Papa took pride in his great health and loved telling people that doctors told him he was really 20 years younger than his actual age. He remained active throughout his life. Aaron encountered many challenges but always met them head on. He tackled every obstacle in front of him with the same attitude: that this was just another challenge to be overcome. A gentle soul, yet fierce with his love and determination he was, and always will be, loved.
