It is with a heavy heart and much sadness that we announce the passing of Aarron Isadore Meirovich age 89. He passed away surrounded by his family at Cortellucci Hospital on Wednesday July 26, 2023 at 3:45 pm. He was a kind and compassionate man who loved life and his family more than anything. He is survived by his loving wife Saundra Meirovich of 69 years, his three children Neil Meirovich and wife Elana, Michelle Prosserman and partner Allan and son Marty, Brenda Mauer and husband Marvin. His grandchildren Jerry and Jacob Meirovich, Michael Prosserman and wife Melissa Yu, Jeffrey Prosserman and wife Maria, Leah Mauer and husband Josh Zelikovitz, Daniel Mauer and wife Amelia Yates. Great Grandchildren: Max and Gia, Elliot, Noa and Isaac. He will be missed by his many dear friends and companions at Viva Retirement Home in Vaughan.

“Issy” brought much love, joy and humanity to the world around him.

Issy was one in a million. He was a thoughtful, kind family man who loved his wife Saundra dearly. Anyone who knew Issy will miss him greatly. My condolences to the family, especially Saundra. All I know is he could hardly breath, in pain from cracked ribs and all he could think about is making things better for his sweet wife. That’s what you call a devoted husband. Nothing was too much for Issy to do for his children. He was someone to be admired. We will miss you greatly Issy.

Auntie Sandra, Brenda, Michelle and Neil Years ago when I was an only child and fatherless Uncle Issy lent me his parents to help me raise me. He also assumed the roles of older brother and part time farther. He was my White Knight. We spoke at least once a week remembering the past, discussing the present and looking to the future. I hope the following comforts you: Uncle Issy pulled me aside and stated Bev I am not afraid to die as I have a wonderful wife, great kids and grandchildren. A job that I enjoyed and all the comforts that I need. I believe in an after life where my parents, brothers and sisters will all be together again, I am content. We should all feel that way when our time comes. Love you guys,

I met Izzy when my dad and him were placed in the same room at rehab. He was such a delight and sweet man. He and my dad became great room buddies always asking each other “are you ok”?
