It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Abraham ‘Jaco’ Reichberg, beloved husband of 55 years to Gala. Loving father and father in law to Frances and Marshall, Yael and Max, Maurice and Shirley. Devoted grandfather to Ben, Josh, Rachel, Talia, David, Daniela, Julie, Lauren and Jessica.

Born in Chile, Jaco was a hard working, kind and loving man who always did for his family. In 1972, when Chile was under a socialist regime, Jaco made the ultimate sacrifice – leaving his home country with his wife and three young children and headed to Canada for a better life.

He found work at the Open Window Bakery Factory, eventually becoming their General Manager. Jaco worked long hours, raised a family, bought a home, put his children through school, celebrated their weddings, and revelled in the nachas of his 9 grandchildren.

A special thank you to Dr. Dobkin, Dr. Hamrahi, Hazel, the PSWs and the staff at Hill House Hospice.

His family was his pride and joy. He lived his life with strength and determination to the very end. We will miss his jokes, his laugh, his love and his kindness. He will be forever in our hearts.
