Dear Ruth, Phil, Adam, Jordana, Talia and Melamed family, Your mother/Safta was an exceptional woman, who we are privileged to have known for so long. Women of her generation are unique…they took whatever cards they were dealt, and made a positive hand, complete with a graceful smile. We have a deep gap in our hearts from her loss. But we also have a warm smile in our hearts from her loving and fun personality. May her memory be a blessing for you.

To the Family of Ahuva Malamet of blessed memory. I was saddened to hear of Ahuva's passing. We had a long and diverse acquaintanceship. In the early 1980s, Shaarei Shomayim was our meeting place. She worked in the office when I was part of a couple and a while later, she shared the in the excitement of our baby son's arrival and watched him grow a into a teenager and was a part of the shul arrangements for his bris and 13 years later, his bar mitzvah. After her retirement I would bump into her on the bus and other spots and we would enjoy catching up with each other. Later, when I was on my own and a member of the Village Shul, I got to know Ruth and Phil and occasionally, her son Elliot would be a guest speaker and of course Ahuva would be there with Ruth and be especially proud to see her Elliott speaking from the Bima. When her beloved husband Colin died, we had a very good visit at the Shiva house. I saw her many times and we always enjoyed each other's company. She was a very special and interesting lovely lady. I know she loved and was loved in return by her wonderful family. She was so proud of all of you. I will cherish her memory. Ruth, you were a devoted daughter and I know you all were an incredible family unit. May your memories sustain you at this difficult time. Hart Family, I'm so sorry for your loss. Ahuva was an incredible person, and I have many great memories of her. A few that stand out were travelling around Israel together when our families went for our bar mitzvah's, going over to see her when I came over to see Adam, and her climbing the rock climbing wall at our bar mitzvah's. To the entire Family---I worked with Ahuva for many years in the office of Shaarei Shomayim when she was the Secretary to the Rabbi. We had a great relationship and we both learned from each other. Dear Elliot and Family, I am truly sorry for your Loss of your Mother, Ahuva. I often saw her at Pray and Learn and walking in the neighbourhood. She was so friendly and in our chats she would beam with pride at your accomplishments and those of the rest of your family. I thought of her often , driving by her house and wishing her well. Your mother made Shaarei Shomayim a welcoming place as newcomers and after. We became such good friends. The highlight was when we went with your mum to visit the sites of the old Jewish quarter in Hebron at the time of a suicide bomb at Hebrew University cafeteria. She filled us in on your family's personal connections to the sites, and told us of the Arab who warned the family to escape just before the riots of '29. She supported and helped promote all our initiatives in adult adulation at shul. She was a gem, so interested in everything, so eager to share views about books and ideas. Her memory is a blessing for us. In her good name, and it's the best, may you enjoy health and peace.

Ruth and family, I was sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I remember her well from the days when we'd meet on Vesta Drive and chat. She was an interesting and caring lady. There’s a special place in our hearts for our mothers, just like there’s a special place in every mother’s heart for her children. I hope the good memories you have of your mother will help support you through these difficult times.

I had the pleasure of seeing Ahuva on a daily basis at the Terraces. What a smile! I will never forget her kindness.

My sincere condolences to the family of Ahuva Malamet. I still remember Ahuva from the days that she worked in the office at Shaarei Shomayim. She was a good friend to my parents, Helen and Philip Zucker. It was in the fall of 2019, that I last met Ahuva at Tov Li (south). She smiled and recognized me even though she hadn't seen me in many years! Ahuva was one of the nicest and friendliest women! I'm very saddened by her passing!

To all the Family, My late Mother, Jean Kravitz z'l was a good friend of Ahuva in her senior years. Their long lunches at Omni were always filled with stories and shared experiences. These were special times for both of them. I remember Ahuva from her Shul days and , in particular, from a surprise meeting in Edmonton at a Family wedding. She was a pleasure to speak with, she enhanced the profile of the Shul , and she was a true pioneer in the difficult early days in Israel. May her memory be for a blessing to you all.

My deepest condolences on the loss of Ahuva. I met Ahuva as she befriended my late mother Marga when she moved to Toronto in 1996. They travelled together, walked together and my mother treasured her friendship. I too had the pleasure of getting to know Ahuva, and will always have memories of her as a truly wonderful person.
