Ailene Rhonda Eli

It is with tremendous sadness that we say goodbye to Ailene Eli who passed away surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of 44 years to Eilat Eli. Loving and devoted mother to Melany Eli and Michael Eli and mother-in-law to Amanda Eli. Cherished grandma to Hudson Pearl, Jax Areyh and Austin Leo. Loving daughter to the late Lionel Mernick (WWII war veteran) and the late Pearl Mernick. She will be sadly missed by all her extended family and friends. Forever in our hearts. Memorial Service Location: Graveside Service at Mount Sinai Cemetery

Burial Service Location: Mount Sinai Cemetery, 986 Wilson Ave., Toronto, Jewish War Veterans section

Shiva Details: Shiva to be observed at 44 Gailcrest Circle, Thornhill, L4J 5V1. Shiva begins after the funeral service and will continue daily from 1 to 3 p.m., and 6:30 to 9 p.m. Prayers at 7 p.m. Shiva will conclude Friday morning.

My heart goes out to the family of Aileen . She & I & Lynne were classmates in high school.She was a beautiful woman who was devoted to her loving family. She will be greatly missed. We were planning to reunite the three friends but fate stepped in before we got the chance. G-d bless you Aileen and thank you for blessing my life even if it was for only a short period. I was very fond of Ailene z"l. I found her to be sweet, kind, compassionate, understanding, loving and caring. It was so easy to be drawn to her, to like her and to love her.
