Alice Pearl Pasternack, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on March 26, 2024, in Toronto, Ontario. She was born on December 8, 1928, and lived a life filled with love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Alice was the loving wife of the late Harold Pasternack, and together they built a beautiful life filled with cherished memories. She was the devoted mother of Elaine and Jay, and the adored mother-in-law of Jane and her family. Her greatest joy came from being a grandmother to Stacey, Josh and Sarah Mandell, Jordan and Sara Pasternack, and Daniel Pasternack and Grace, and a great-grandmother to Rebecca and Emily Mandell.

Alice was a kind and gentle soul, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her warm smile and compassionate heart touched the lives of everyone she met. She had a passion for reading and could often be found with a book in her hand, lost in the world of literature. Alice was also an avid baseball fan, and she enjoyed cheering on the Blue Jays with her family by her side.

Her passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The funeral service to honor Alice’s life will be held at Steeles Memorial on Friday March 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Kensington Place for their compassionate care and support throughout Alice’s time there.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to JACS Toronto (www.jacstoronto.org/alicepasternack) in her memory.

Alice’s legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in peace, knowing that she was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
